HOW DO WE START WORKING WITH YOU?
Have a good look through our stationery collection and/or custom suites and then get in touch via info@emmajo.co.uk, we are happy to answer any questions you may have, provide you with prices and walk you through the ordering and design process. At this stage it’s good to have a few details to hand like your wedding date, items needed and quantities.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?
How long your project will take depends on your project! The design phase can be anywhere from 1 week to 4 weeks depending on how quickly you are able to respond to emails throughout the process and approve the artwork for print. We aim to reply to amends within 1-2 business days. Times vary depending on the time of year, quantities ordered and the complexity of the chosen range, but generally digital printing takes 2 weeks and letterpress and foil printing can take 3-4 weeks and any hand finished elements may add few extra days too. Rush jobs can sometimes be accommodated, but please enquire first and this will usually incur an additional fee.
If you are looking to order bespoke work then you need to consider the additional time this service requires. The design process, depending on the level of detail involved, can add approximately 2-3 months as well as the printing time outline above. A more accurate timescale can be provided once we know more about your project.
Please note that Emma Jo has limited availability for bespoke projects each year so we recommended getting in touch as soon as possible.
HOW DO WE PLACE AN ORDER AND WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
Once you’re ready to get started, we will send you an invoice, a 50% non refundable deposit is then required (or payment in full for orders under £300.00) in order to secure your booking and for the design work to commence. Soon thereafter, you will receive your digital proofs via email and make changes if needed (up to three proofs are included in the price). Additional design proofs beyond the three included with your order will incur an additional fee. Once you have approved the digital proofs, the remaining balance is then due prior to the actual print and delivery of the stationery.
CAN I SEE A PROOF FIRST?
Yes, once we have received payment, wording information and any design notes from you, we will get started on your stationery proofs. Upto three proofs are included with every order, so we will have plenty of time to get things just right! To help receive your proofs promptly we ask that you provide your wording information, fully checked and approved ahead of any design work, as any printed copy mistakes will be at your cost to replace (so please do double check everything!) Flat printed proofs are available for an extra fee.
CAN I SEE SAMPLES?
Yes of course! Samples of most designs can be purchased in our shop. Samples of some specialist processes like letterpress and foil printing is available to order depending on availability. We do not keep all invitations in stock in all printing methods and colours, but we will do our best to accommodate your wishes whenever possible. Samples can not be customised with your wedding information or colours.
DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM ORDER?
Due to the time involved in creating your artwork and the print processes there are minimum orders to consider. For digitally printed items you will need to order at least 30 pieces and an order value of £100.00. Letterpress and foil printed stationery has a minimum order of 40 per item, due to the printing process.
CAN I MAKE ANY CHANGES TO THE COLLECTION DESIGNS?
Of course! Although our designs, layouts and styles have been thoughtfully considered for the collection, we understand that there are sometimes things that may not quite work for you. Changes are variable from one collection to another so just mention in your initial enquiry that you had something specific in mind. This may be alternative wording or a change to the colour palette. You may want to add a little extra luxury and upgrade the paperstocks or add special finishes such as foiling not shown. However, if you would like a more tailored design then the bespoke service is perfect for you.
DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES?
Because your order is customised for you and your event, all orders are final. Once your final proof is approved, we regret there are no cancellations and no refunds. We recommend purchasing samples to get an idea for what your final product will look like. Refunds will not be granted for colour differences between online proofs and the printed product, or any errors spotted once print approval has been received.
DO YOU WORK WITH INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS?
Absolutely, we would be delighted to create your wedding stationery in any language you require, wherever you live in the world. Simply supply us with the translations and we will send you all the details and design proofs via email and organise the delivery accordingly. We would be happy to provide an estimate of your delivery upon request.
WHEN SHOULD I SEND MY STATIONERY?
This can vary depending on your wedding, location, guests and time of year so its ok to do what ever works best for you.
Save the dates are a great way to inform your family and friends in advance of your big day so they have plenty of time to plan accordingly. If your guests are required to travel a long distance, take time off work or if the wedding is during a holiday season, the sooner you can let them know the better! We recommend sending them 9-12 months prior to the wedding date.
For your invitations, we recommend sending them 3-6 months prior to your wedding date, depending if and when you sent out save the dates. This allows plenty of time to address your envelopes, receive your replies, plan the seating arrangements and order any day stationery you would like.
I’M IN A RUSH, CAN YOU HURRY UP!?
We do offer a ‘Rush Service’ for when time is tight. A quote can be provide upon request as it depends on our current availability and your requirements. A ‘Rush Service’ is approx. an additional 20-50% of your order value. We also offer an ‘Early Envelopes’ service if you would like to receive your envelopes, to address, while your stationery is being printed.
I’VE DESIGNED MY OWN INVITES, CAN YOU PRINT THEM?
We do not offer a print only service for couples or designers.
